Super Street Cover: Endless Nissan S15
Let’s try not to get distracted by the image in the upper right, k? Thanks! Onto the subject at hand, here’s a look at the cover/cover feature I shot for the new issue of Super Street magazine. More images and nerd talk after the jump!

As one would imagine, cars don’t emerge from huge fiery skies too often. So if you’re wondering, we shot on location at Endless, then handed things over to our good buddy Photoshop.

The image consists of three elements: the car, the ground/wheels, and sky. Same concept as the Mini Cooper rig image, except the end result isn’t meant to look all that realistic. The goal here was to have a strong contrast with the orange background, to make the blue car pop.
Sky image-can’t ever seem to shoot enough skies for stock:

Car exposure-4 Alien Bee 800s were used, as well as a Vivitar 285 to kick in a little more light on the lower portion of the front bumper:

Motion exposure for wheels and ground-car headlights were used to light the wheels:

Static from the feature:

Last but not least, random doggies:
